Peepshow Menagerie has been serving up fresh NERDLESQUE since 2008 and is produced by the team of Chris Beyond and Scarlett Letter as a throwback to doing what burlesque was known for – doing naughty parodies of pop culture. They were one of the first shows to mainly focus on Nerdlesque with hit shows like “Cherry Potter & The Wizards Of Burlesque”, “Spacetease!” (L.A’s exclusive parody of Doctor Who), “Burlesqueland!” (a parody of all this Disney and Disneyland), “Super Burlesque Galaxy” (Their ‘Sintendo’ themed show), “Marvels Of Burlesque” and SO many more! They have become known around L.A. for these shows as well as their prolific poster art (some shows will have over 10 posters for a one night only event). Their shows have garnered quotes from the press such as “Best Of L.A. (Nightlife)” – L.A. Weekly, “L.A.’s Wildest Burlesque” – Fangoria Magazine, as well as fantastic write-ups in Time Out L.A., Campus Circle, Nuke The Fridge, and even The Guardian UK.
